The newly appointed Superintendant of Education for the Northwest Catholic District School Board says improving student achievement is his first priority.
Al Cesiunes says boards across the province are facing difficult times because the government continues to implement new policies and programs.
He also wants to begin fine tuning their programs.
Cesiunas has been with the Board since 1987.
