Aboriginal organizations in the Region are concerned with an increase in the number of acts of violence targeting First Nations people.
As a result, Treaty 3 is setting up a new complaints system to monitor the situation.
Justice Coordinator Rhonda Kelly says she is hearing about more people who have been assaulted on the street but refuse to go to Police.
Kelly says they want to document the concerns and find out how wide spread the problem really is.
She adds they want to specifically target the concerns surrounding the justice system and safety on the streets.
