The Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership is hoping to create a buzz on the internet about what Northern Ontario has to offer.
The Corporation has launched a new on-line portal (northernontario.travel), with pictures, testimonials and a calendar of events.
Spokesperson Chris Milner adds they are looking at untapped markets to promote the North, including Chicago, Hamilton, Winnipeg, Toronto and Ottawa.
Milner notes they have also formed great partnerships to promote the area and aligned with Mountain Co-Op across Canada and the popular Bass Pro Shop chain in Vaughn, Ontario.
Chris Milner introduced the strategy Tuesday to delegates attending the Working Together, Succeeding Together Tourism Conference in Dryden.
