The U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency says boaters wishing to cross over to the American side of Lake of the Woods or Rainy Lake this summer will need to apply for a new permit.
Mike Milne is a spokesperson for the customs agency and says boaters will need to be in possession of an I-68 border crossing permit.
