The Cities of Dryden and Kenora will no longer have a greater say on
Kenora District Services Board issues.
The KDSB has decided to scrap the practice of “weighted” voting based
on population and has implemented a single vote system.
The change concerns Dryden officials because of the high price the City
pays for services but KDSB CAO Stain Leaf says the move had to be made.
n035 runs: 17 sec. out…weighted voting.
Leaf adds the voting process is consistent with other service boards
and commissions.
