The Cities of Dryden and Kenora will no longer have a greater say on
Kenora District Services Board issues.
The KDSB has decided to scrap the practice of “weighted” voting based
on population and has implemented a system where every Municipality will get
one single vote.
The new system has sparked some concern among City of Dryden officials.
They feel that the City should have more of a say because the
Municipality pays more for services.
The KDSB says the voting process is consistent with other service boards
and commissions.
