Canada’s Governor General is calling 2018 an unforgettable year.

She says Canadians are doing remarkable work around the world.
Payette says as Governor General, it’s been an honour to show her support, forge new relationships and to foster collaboration.
She adds we should never be afraid of the undiscovered or the uncharted because curiosity fuels discovery and pushes the frontier of knowledge.
Payette encourages Canadians to celebrate our good fortune and remember our values of openness and tolerance.
Payette also speaks of the importance of working together, using the International Space Station as an example of how different nationalities and backgrounds work and live together.
