As municipal councils continue to wrestle with the contentious topic of financial compensation, the results of a CKDR News poll show most people aren’t in favour of any kind of pay raise for elected officials.
76% of respondents said no.
Dryden Councillor Roger Valley has previously suggested taking a look at salaries, noting they haven’t been revisited for years.
Last week, Thunder Bay Council established a seven person citizen group to review salaries.
