The Northern Ontario School of Medicine has extended the deadline to apply for its annual Health Sciences Camp.
Local youth now have until April 21st to register for the July getaway.
School Dean Dr. Roger Strasser says week-long program provides young high school students with an opportunity to explore health-care careers, obtain hands-on experience, and find a student mentor.
Strasser says the camp is open to everyone, however they encourage Indigenous and Francophone students to take part.
Camp activities include casting and x-rays, CSI, anatomy and physiology.
They are held in both Thunder Bay and Sudbury.
