Thunder Bay North Stars forward Nicholas Nigro has been named SIJHL player of the week.
The 20-year-old veteran led the North Stars to three road wins this past week.
Nigro recorded five goals and two assists.
One of his goals was a shootout winner against Fort Frances.
Nigro has goals and points in each of his club’s first five games.
Braeden Allkins of the Dryden GM Ice Dogs and English River Miners forward Sidney Gladue received consideration.
