2 Dryden men have been hit hard in their wallets after being convicted of night hunting.
Court was told an MTO patrol saw a Bull Moose standing in the along highway 502 near Goldrock on December 9th 2001, & about a kilometer later noted a large truck heading in the opposite direction.
The driver pulled over & turned off his engine when he heard a single gunshot.
Heading back to where he saw the moose, the now dead animal was discovered & the worker followed the suspect vehicle recording the license plate & reporting it to the OPP & MNR.
Richard Duhamel & Alfred Leutschaft have been fined $2,000 each & banned from hunting for 1 year.
