Inquest into Mining Death

An inquest will be held into the death of 45-year-old Jerome Burns.
Burns died at the Placer Dome Musselwhite Mine north of Pickle Lake in June 2000, when a tire on a 30 tonne underground hauler exploded.
The inquest is expected to last 4 days and may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.
The hearing is scheduled for June 24th in Thunder Bay.
