NILS Waiting on Funding

Northern Independent Living Services in the Kenora and Rainy River Districts still doesn’t know if it will be getting any additional funding from the Province this year.
Last week, the Minister of Health announced an extra $29 million for supportive housing for people with disabilities.
NILS Spokesperson Renee Brady says they have been asking for more money for some time now, adding there is a definite shortage of services for people with physical disabilities in the region.
