Weyerhaeuser has been ordered to halt demolition of the former Sturgeon Falls Mill.
The Environment Ministry says the company doesn’t have an air-monitoring program to look for Asbestos contamination.
Weyerhaeuser Spokesman Larry Lemon says a technician is on site to install the required equipment so the tear down can continue.
The company closed the Mill in December 2002, costing the community 140 jobs.
