No Damages in Oxdrift Fire

Quick work by Oxdrift Fire prevented a small fire from spreading at a Highway 17 west business.

Crews were called to Bert’s Auto Wrecking just after 9 o’clock Friday morning after a fire sparked behind the garage.

Firefighters arrived and were able to extinguish the blaze before it could advance to nearby fuel drums and other flammable material.

Those on site say a spark from a drill piece was the cause.

There was no damage to the building and no one was injured.
