No Loss Of Ridings; Changes In Boundaries

Northern Ontario is scheduled to keep its 10 federal electoral ridings but some boundaries may be changing.
The Kenora riding is included in the proposed changes.
The Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission for Ontairo is recommending Lake of the Woods township being removed from Thunder Bay-Rainy River and added to Kenora.
Both Sioux Narrows and Nestor Falls will be grouped in the riding.
That would increase the population in the Kenora riding to just roughly 57,000.
The Commission will begin public hearings on its proposed boundary changes in October.
