Municipal officials say a liquid chemical spill occurred outside the Water Treatment Plant on Wellington Street around 5:30.
The spill was quickly contained and cleaned-up.
Fire Chief Rob Favot says officials and plant operators were on hand to provide information on the chemical and help contain the site.
