A strike has been averted at the Liquor Control Board of Ontario just in time for the long holiday weekend.
The L-C-B-O and OP-SEU announced a tentative agreement a couple of hours just before a midnight strike deadline.
No details were released, and won’t be, until after a ratification vote.
L-C-B-O spokeswoman Heather McGregor said the deal is fair to taxpayers and the 67-hundred employees.
Denise Davis, who headed the union’s bargaining team, said she believes the agreement meets workers’ expectations and is
recommending they accept it.
