NOMA Gathering Underway In Thunder Bay

Over 200 delegates are gathering in Thunder Bay for the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association Annual General Meeting.

President Dave Canfield says the meeting is growing in popularity.

The keynote address will be delivered by Robert Harris who will speak on overcoming resistance and committing to change.

Ontario NDP Leader Andrea Horwath, Federal Green Deputy Leader Bruce Hyer, and Interim leader of the Ontario PC’s Jim Wilson are scheduled to be in attendance.

The Minister’s Forum will consist of Michael Gravelle, Bill Mauro and David Zimmer.

Issues of concern at the conference include tourism, energy, accessibility, disaster recovery and property taxes.
