The Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association wants to be a voice for forest communities.
NOMA says it needs to be involved in the land-use planning discussions environmental groups are having with some forest product businesses.
President Dave Canfield says he feels northern communities should have a say in any type of forestry management decision.
NOMA, together with the OFIA and Resolute, just launched a postcard-writing campaign, which lobbies the environmental groups to allow them to be involved in discussions.
