NOMA Looking To Move Growth Plan Forward

The President of the Northwestern Ontairo Municipal Association says he’s excited to move forward with the new provincial government.
The throne speech is set for 2:00 central this afternoon.
Ron Nelson says Kathleen Wynne’s team has a good mix of young and old.
He notes the first priority for NOMA is bringing back discussion with the new Minister of Northern Development and Mines on the Northern Growth plan.
Nelson says he’s frustrated with the inaction of former Minister Rick Bartolucci on moving the growth plan forward.
He says the strategy has been sitting on the shelf collecting dust.
He adds Michael Gravelle is the one who initiated the Growth Plan and having him back in the Northern Development portfolio will be beneficial.
