NOMA Pushing Energy Plan

The President of the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association says the production, transmission and distribution of electricity is a key part to our economy.
That’s why Anne Krassilowsky is asking the Province to move forward quickly on plans to create a new hydro line from east of Nipigon to Pickle Lake.
NOMA is asking the plan to be modified to provide service to Whitesand First Nation, Armstrong and Gull Bay First Nation.
Krassilowsky adds a transmission station should be built to upgrade the existing line from Bearmore to Longlac and Nakina and to power the future line to the Ring of Fire in the Far North.
