Provincial Plan for Powerplant

The Provincial Government is spending $100,000 to help a Northern First Nation explore a hydroelectric power project.
The Heritage Funding will support efforts by Muskrat Dam to determine the feasibility of a 1-megawatt powerplant at Windigo Falls.
If the plan is approved, the new hydroelectric generating facility could create up to 10-jobs during construction and 2-full time positions once operational.
