NOMS Bursary exceeds Target

The Northern Ontario Medical School now has 13.4 million dollars for a student bursary program.

Gerry Lougheed is co-chair of the fundraising committee and
says they managed to raise 6.7 million dollars in private
and corporate donations to the bursary fund.

Lougheed says the province has agreed to match the the funding.

Initially the province only promised five million dollars from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund.
