Noront Resources is another step closer to starting its Ring of Fire mining development.
The provincial government has approved the Terms of Reference for Noront’s proposed Eagle’s Nest nickel mine.
There are several amendments which have been made.
That includes looking for changes to how it plans to align a proposed highway, and allowing for potential First Nation involvement in the environmental assessment.
The EA outlines the types of studies and consultation Noront must undertake to its project, to show it’ll have minimal affects on human health and the environment.
