The Annual Norseman Festival starts Friday afternoon in Red Lake.
The three day celebration kicks-off with a customer appreciation barbeque at Standard Insurance at noon.
Things officially begin at 5:00pm with a traditional opening ceremony and drum circle.
Most events are being held this year at Centennial Park and there’s activities and entertainment for all age groups.
The MKT Aerobatics show is still scheduled to go at 6:30.
So far, smoke in the area hasn’t impacted scheduled air shows and flight tours.

12:00pm: Standard Insurance Customer Appreciation BBQ at Standard Parking Lot
5:00pm-6:00pm: Traditional Opening Ceremony and Drum Circle at Centennial Park
5:00pm-7:00pm: United Church Fish Fry at the Legion
5:00pm-8:00pm: Norseman Festival Info and Merchandise, Vendor and Artisan Market, Bouncy Castles and Family Activities at Centennial Park
5:00pm-8:00pm: Aviation Display at Heritage Centre
6:00pm-8:00pm: “Early Man” Movie at the Heritage Centre
6:00pm-11:00pm: Sleeping Giant Brewery Craft Beer Tent at Park Entertainment Stage
6:30pm: MKT Aerobatics at Centennial Park
7:00pm-9:00pm: Sean Taylor Band (Country) at Park Entertainment Stage
9:30pm-10:30pm: Black River Drifters (Rock) at Park Entertainment Stage
Festival Admission: $5/day, $10 for Weekend Pass, Children 5 and Under are Free
