Another significant milestone for North Star Air.
The regional airline has signed a strategic revenue sharing partnership with Bearskin Lake First Nation and North Caribou Lake First Nation.
The agreement allows the company to invest back into the local communities.
Seven northern First Nations are now working together with North Star Air and talks are being held with other communities to sign similar agreements.
Bearskin Lake Chief Rosemary McKay says they are confident the deal will build the north and create new opportunities.
North Caribou Lake Chief Dinah Kanate says the partnership will help them meet social and economic development challenges.
