Settlement Reached In Forest Dispute

A settlement has been reached in a dispute between the Rainforest Alliance and Resolute Forest Products over the company’s forest areas in northern Ontario.
The Alliance says both sides have agreed to new audits being conducted for the Black Spruce Dog River Matawin Forests and the Caribou Forest toward certification.
Resolute had filed a lawsuit after audits of those areas were conducted last spring.
