The opening game saw Aurora down Sault Ste. Marie 3-1 while the evening contest saw the host Skyhawks down the Bill Salonen Champs Fort William First Nation North Stars 5-4.
Eagle Lake First Nation’s Albert Kavanaugh scored for the Stars.
It doesn’t get any easier for Fort William. They take on #1 ranked Aurora this afternoon at 2:00.
