The Thunder Bay North Stars needed three goals in the third period to finally shake the Fort Frances Lakers 3-0 Tuesday night.
The winner was a short-handed goal, while the North Stars added an empty-netter.
Thunder Bay outshot Fort Frances 47-17.
The North Stars are now four points behind the second place Thief River Falls Norskies in the SIJHL standings.
The top two teams receive a bye into the Semi-Final.
