Money Sense magazine is no fan of northwestern Ontario. In its annual best places to live in Canada index, Kenora dropped from 72nd place last year, down to 230th this year, while Thunder Bay finished 97th. There was no real explanation for grading, but the magazine says it values prosperity, affordability, safety and the ability of local residents to get around among it’s top criteria. Winnipeg dropped to 45th overall, from 29th place last year. Dryden didn’t make the list. For the second year in a row Ottawa was ranked as the top place to live in Canada.
