Northern Eagle High School Closing its Doors

Northern Eagle High School in Ear Falls will close at the end of this
school year.
The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board says the foundation of the building is
crumbling and its too old to repair.
Superintendent of Business Dean Carrie says the school has an enrolment
of about 50-students from remote First Nation communities.
Carrie says they are working with the Northern Nishnawbe Education
Council on drafting an action plan.
Options include setting up temporary buildings on site or moving the
program to another community.
