Northern Education Travel Grant

The Provincial Liberals have unveiled a new $27-million program
to help post-secondary students living in Northern and rural communities.
The grant program will provide students living more than 80-kilometres
from a College or University with up to $500 per semester to
supplement their travel costs.
Those who move away to attend school are eligible for $300 per
semester to travel home.
Roughly 30% of students at Lakehead University come from
Northwestern Ontario communities outside Thunder Bay.
