Ontario’s Sunset Country Travel Association is predicting a difficult
tourism season for Northwestern Ontario outfitters.
Executive Director Gerry Cariou says the American economy, Canadian
dollar, high gas prices and border issues will continue to hamper travel.
Cariou says outfitters are reporting declining visitor numbers
compared to a year ago.
Cariou recently promoted the region at a sports show in Minneapolis.
