Northern Highways #2

Over 438-million dollars will be used to improve

Northern Ontario’s highways.

The Provincial Government recently announced it’s 2007-

2008 Northern Highways Program, with most of the funding

going towards twinning Highway 17 in Northeastern Ontario.

Thunder Bay Superior North MPP Michael Gravelle says

Highway 11-17 between Thunder Bay and Kenora will be

getting special treatment as well.

Gravelle says they’ll be adding more rumble strips to

the highway between Kenora and Thunder Bay.

The Thunder Bay Superior North MPP hopes the west will

see more funding, after the North east’s projects are

complete.
