Northern Lights And Thamesville Credit Unions Merge

Northern Lights and Thamesville Credit Unions are announcing the intention to merge. Thamesville Credit Union is located in Southern Ontario near London. The credit unions state that they will focus on “rural growth” to help families, farms and communities. CEOs Al Birtch and Ernie Remillard say that they are seeking a new path for smaller Credit Unions in Ontario. The new merged credit union will operate 9 branches and serve over 16 thousand members. The merger will take place at the beginning of 2016.
