Some tough talk from northern politicians to start the new year.
Kenora mayor Dave Canfield says he plans to be less diplomatic when dealing with politicians at Queen’s Park in 2013.
Canfield says now that Dalton McGuinty is leaving office, it time to start a new dialogue with provincial politicians.
Canfield says the government basically did nothing while the forest industry collapsed in northern Ontario, and that can’t be allowed to happen again.
Meantime, the town of Fort Frances is not happy with provincial and federal reaction following negative changes at Resolute Forest Products.
Roy Avis says he’s yet to hear from anyone about the changes.
Avis is most upset with MPP Sarah Campbell and MP John Rafferty.
