The Northern Ontario School of Medicine says it’s keeping the heart of the region beating.
The school is celebrating its 10th Anniversary.
Dean and CEO Roger Strasser says the northwest has access to health care it didn’t have a decade ago, thanks to a growing number of graduates who go on to provide medical services here at home.
Strasser says the focus for the future is improving the health of people in the north, through research.
