Some key ministries to northwestern Ontario will have less money to work with over the next year.
The budget for the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines is being shaved by $70-million to $767-million.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry will have $824-million, $40-million less compared to 2016.
Much of the MNRF’s reduction comes in funding for emergency forest firefighting.
