A big first end wasn’t enough for Northern Ontario at the Canadian Fire Fighters Curling Championship in Calgary.
The Dryden team scored 5 in the first end, only to drop a 9-6 decision to Saskatchewan on Wednesday.
The Northern squad is in the middle of the pack in the standings with a 3-5 record.
They will take on the Territories and Manitoba today (Thursday) to wrap up round-robin play.
