Northwestern Ontario is one step closer to having its
own law school, after the Law Society of Upper Canada gave
its approval.
Lakehead University President Fred Gilberts says they
now need to receive approval from the National Federation
of Law Societies and Ministry of Training, College and
University.
Gilberts notes the new school will have a Northern
Ontario curriculum.

The next step in creating the proposed school is
approval from the National Committee on accreditation.
