Funding for Violence Against Women Programs

Violence against women programs in the Kenora and Rainy
River Ridings are getting $57,000 in Provincial funding.
In Dryden, the Canadian Red Cross, Mental Health and Addiction
Services, the Elder Abuse Prevention Committee, Hoshizaki House and the
Sexual Assault-Domestic Violence Care and Treatment program will each
receive $3,000.
The Assault Care and Treatment Centre, First Step Women’s Shelter and
the Anti-Racism Committee are Sioux Lookout agency’s receiving $3,000 each.
New Starts for Women in Red Lake and the Atikokan Crisis Centre will
also see $3,000.
