The Law Society of Upper Canada has given its permission
to Lakehead University to move forward with its proposed
law school.
President Fred Gilberts says the society did have one
concern about the regional school, and it dealt with the
number of articling positions available.

The next step on the road to creating the new school, is
receiving approval from the Ministry of Training, Colleges
and Universities, and the National Federation of Law
Societies.
