One Month In…Not Much of a Fire Season

What a difference a year makes!
Last year at this time the fire hazard was extreme and a Restricted
Fire Zone was in place across Northwestern Ontario.
Ministry of Natural Resources Information Officer Travis Moffatt says
the first month of the fire season has been quiet.
14-forest fires have burned 34-hectares of land in this region.
Moffatt says fire crews have been busy with training and equipment
preparation.
