Many northerners seem to believe the provincial government would like to turn Northern Ontario into one big wilderness park.
The belief has been around since the Harris Living Legacy Project was first announced a few years ago.
However, Kenora-Rainy River MP Bob Nault believes there needs to be an even balance.
Nault says setting aside land for parks is essential to retain the beauty and wildlife of the region.
But he adds utilizing vast resources in the North is essential to future economic growth.
