Truck Driver Dies In Crash

An Eastern Ontario man is dead following a single vehicle crash on Highway 17 early Sunday morning.
OPP say the driver of a tractor trailer died after his truck left the road and hit a rock cut about 16 kilometres west of Vermilion Bay.
Police say 53-year-old David Roy of Cornwall is dead and a passenger, his 27-year-old son, managed to escape without being hurt.
Members of the Machin Volunteer Fire Department had to use the Jaws of Life to remove the victim from the truck.
