The Provincial Government has invested 17.4 million
dollars in the enhancement of cellular and broadband
Internet services in the North.
Northern Development Advisor Randy McAllister says 2.8
million will go towards the expansion of K-NET’s
broadband service to 17 remote communities.

McAllister expects the projects will take 3 years to
complete.
Red Lake will see funding to replace their current
network with fibre optic cable.
