The Federal Government has requested the Northwestern
Health Unit take over immunization of First Nations north
of Sioux Lookout.
Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Pete Sarsfield says
they’ll oblige the Federal Government, but first need
funding from the Province.

If the Health Unit takes over immunization, they will be
responsible for all vaccines, including HPV, Rabies,
Influenza, Measles, Mumps and Rubella.
