Sioux Lookout is the leader, with 33% of the population using blue boxes.

Dryden is next at 30%.

Scott says increased education and development of depots for such things as electronic equipment can help drive up the numbers.
He admits northwestern Ontario communities are challenged by distance to markets and costs that can impact local recycling efforts.
