Northwest Receives High Grades in Cancer Care

Northwestern Ontario remains a top performer in Cancer Care in Ontario.
Regional Cancer Care Northwest has released its annual Report Card with mainly high marks.
Spokesperson Michael Power says our Region is one of the best in Ontario in terms of chemotherapy, radiation therapy and cancer surgery wait times.
Chemotherapy for colon and lung cancer patients are also among the best in Ontario.
However, Power notes colorectal cancer screening and wait times as well as cancer prevention require more attention.
